Sleeping Ute Suite...great basecamp
Just under Sleeping Ute Mountain, sacred to the Ute people, the suite is a favorite basecamp, perfect for small groups and families. And travelers with dogs. On the North side of the land, you are just up above the bosque with lovely cooling breezes coming off McElmo Creek. The building is an older well established modular home. It's clean, bright when you want it to be, and cool. Great news is the full kitchen! well equipped, and two bedrooms each with a queen bed, plus an additional pull-out full futon in the living area. You can be completely self-sufficient with your fam or your buddies and sprawl out a bit, onto the porch too. Sleeps up to 5
The Suite is a Dog Friendly space. Talk with us about your companion when you book. We provide dog bowls, a comfy bed, treats, and a towel dedicated to your pups' muddy paws. ( We do charge a pet fee so we can make sure to clean the heck of the place ( $25 per night) oh but back to the two leggeds...

Your own zone, plus...
Take a short walk across a field of native grasses to The Lodge where you can score breakfast ($16.) Your porch is generous with a big round table for watching the sunrise/sunset, and sharing food. A grill. Beds are comfy with sun dried cotton linens and alpaca blankets to wrap around you on a cool evening, from our friends in Ecuador. Hot shower. Turkish towels. It is a perfect basecamp for tooling around the area full of interest. Or just stay and settle in, dig in deep! hear the coyotes, watch the moon come up and let the stars pull you by the hair.
