Mountain Biking around Cortez and Mesa Verde and Kelly Place B&B
Mountain biking from Kelly Place into Canyons of the Ancients is considered an intermediate level trail. Lower Sand Canyon trailhead is just two miles west of Kelly Place. The Sand Canyon trail offers scenic mountain biking amidst the Anasazi ruin sites in Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. Bikes and gear can be rented in Cortez.
