Lodging Accommodations At Kelly Place

The main lodge is an adobe-style building with courtyard, built in the mid-1960's. There are seven rooms in the main lodge. Three adobe-style cabins offer more privacy. A two bedroom modular suite provides amenities in a spacious environment.

All accommodations feature private, en suite baths and queen size beds. Basic and standard lodge rooms are rustic, cowboy bunkhouse style but are very comfortable for a several night stay. The upgraded cabins and deluxe rooms feature more room, windows and various meal cooking abilities. Our RV and tent sites are located on select areas of the property and include our full, country-style breakfast buffet. Kelly Place can host meetings, retreats and celebrations in the Day Lodge.

Rates: Our nightly rates begin at $80 and depend on the type of accommodation selected, the number of guests and length of stay. Single night stays have a $20 cleaning fee, April through October. Stays of 4 or more nights are discounted 10% from the base rate.

A full country-style buffet breakfast served daily in the lodge, featuring a hot entree and our delicious homemade granola.
The flagstone courtyard of the main lodge--a place to relax or chat, surrounded by flowers, visited by brightly colored birds, and offering a breath-taking view of nearby Sleeping Ute Mountain.
The lounge area - a cozy place to relax indoors filled with books, magazines, games for the entire family and informational or entertaining movies for all ages.
Wireless internet access in the main lodge. (Due to our location only satellite service is available. It can be fast but is generally slow during evening hours.)
Self-guided tours to the archaeological sites on Kelly Place property, including ruins in various stages of excavation or restoration.
Fresh fruit from the orchard (in season), including apples, apricots, peaches and pears.

Available at additional cost:

Sack lunches are available with advance notice.
Dinners or lunches may be available for groups of 8 or more with advance notice.
Archaeologist-guided hikes into Canyons of the Ancients from Kelly Place.
Horseback riding with a neighboring horse ranch into Canyons of the Ancients.
Sample our local McElmo Canyon wines, by the glass or bottle.
Beer on tap from a Cortez microbrewery, by the cold glass or pitcher.
Other bottled brands of beer and wine are available too.
